Grief is the most peculiar thing; we’re so helpless in the face of it. It’s like a window that will simply open of its own accord. The room grows cold, and we can do nothing but shiver. But it opens a little less each time, and a little less; and one day we wonder what has become of it.

I lost my father at a very young age. I watched him dying but refused to believe, I’d never see him again. For days my mother cried, her sadness made my tears coming down naturally. The grief we experienced seemed so permanent, we thought we’ll never have the will to smile ever again.
With time it did heal our hearts but it took a long time.
I like the quote you posted. Thank you so much.

I am so sorry for your loss! your mother is such a strong and loyal partner. You know that your father is resting happily now in a different realm. We shall gather later on after we finish our journey on earth.
